There is something about all the "come-ons" and bright lights and the "carneys" that are intriguing. I once knew a carney very well and he would regale me with stories of what it was like to live in that kind of atmosphere. The types of people that gravitate to it and their amazing stories of sadness, anger, dysfunction, and good times. It's pretty evident that it takes a special kind of person to be a part of this line of work.
