DOWNTOWN VEGAS

This is downtown Las Vegas. In the 50's I lived in Las Vegas with my mother and I remember all the bright lights of the Fremont Casino and the big Texan that waved it's arm welcoming suckers from all over the world. The lights and traffic that made Las Vegas famous. In the last 50 years "the strip" has taken all of the glitter and excitement from the downtown area and business owners have tried to add more interest by building this huge canopy over about 3 blocks of the once famous casinos that were featured in several films shot in and around Las Vegas.
