Angel Fire, New Mexico. During the summer months it has the lowest temperature in the nation. It is a ski resort. High mountains and high altitude make a perfect place for winter sports. I traveled through here on my way to visit a friend in Taos. It's basically a 'tourist trap' surviving on the revenue from snow related activities. It's a beautiful place and I couldn't live there. This is the 'sticks' to me. If you are in northern New Mexico, it's worth a trip to see this area.
