This is an old Victorian on a hill overlooking downtown Santa Cruz. It's hidden by other buildings now. Most people only get a fleeting look at it as they pass by the alley style access road to it. I took this photo because I noticed the house several times and chose today because of the smokey sunset due to a huge forest fire just north of town. It is a striking but it's a lousy color and there is so much more detail that has been painted over. Oh well, another old painted lady holding court over the businesses around her.
