As a Field Supervisor and Arborist I had the opportunity to participate in controlled burns the Fire Department used as exercises for local agencies to practice and coordinate communication. This one was a large one at Pogonip, a large open space near Santa Cruz, CA. I had a great time and took some prize winning photos.
