LATE NIGHT SNACKS

Guanajuato, Mexico 2003. My lovely bride and I attended a wedding in San Luis Potosi in November and while we were in the area we spent a week in Guanajuato. It is an amazing city filled with beautiful things to see. Most of the vehicle traffic is underground. Yes, underground! A very large population of students attend the University and countless more are artisans and street vendors selling very good quality items. I recommend it as a destination.
These two photos are in Plaza de Baratillo which is one of the most picturesque plazas. It was late at night and my wife and I wanted to get something to eat so we walked a few steps from our apartment and found several of the locals and tourists doing the same thing. I really like these two photos. They almost look like paintings.

I agree, they remind one of paintings. Very cool! I'm always fascinated by underground places. I worked in Crystal City, VA (underground) as a teen for a while.
It also makes me think of the documentary film by Marc Singer called "Dark Days" about a group of homeless people who live deep underground in an abandoned New York City railroad tunnel.
