4:30 a.m. at 12,000 ft will chill your bones even in the best weather condtions. I spent a week in the White Mountains east of Bishop, CA taking a photography class in August. It was a wonderful opportunity to hang with fine art photographers. Unfortunately I had to get up way too early to catch certain photographs of the famed Bristlecone Pines at sunrise. Here's one that I took while holding my camera as steady as possible because my hands were shaking from the cold. I hope you enjoy it.
