MONTANA RANCH DISAPPEARS

While my wife and I were touring Montana we stopped for me to examine this old ranch site that has very little remaining. The prairie has claimed the ranch and is working on the truck cab and the barn. Looks like the truck was from the 1950's. There were no other buildings for several miles in both directions. It was pretty isolated. The barn is just waiting to collapse. I wonder who owned and/or worked this land. What stories could the barn tell of livestock, poultry, and feed storage events. The openness of the flat open plains must have allowed high winds and drifting snow in the harsh Montana winters. It's a nice place to visit.
