CALLEJONEADAS

When we were in Guanajuato, Mexico we made it a special effort to see the callejoneadas. In 1962 a group of young people decided to don old style Spanish Renaissance costumes and tour the streets and alley's (callejons) singing songs, drinking wine, and telling jokes. Since then, this activity takes place mostly on weekends. It is supported by the University of Guanajuato, which includes and organizes callejoneadas for the International Cervantino Festival. I could hear them coming up the alley and rushed out to catch them as they passed by.

My Aperture-I'm not sure exactly where you're going with this blog, and why do if find your shyness claim to be slightly suspect, but either way, i love your reconstructions of past adventures and the pictures themselves are stunning. thanks for sharing.
