Cars like this are not uncommon here in Santa Cruz. As a City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department employee I was honored with opinions from virtually any and everyone. I think you'd be able to safely say that this person is a "liberal". Nothing wrong with that but the visual clutter only adds to the already overwhelming amount of signs and noise we all experience every day. It's great to have an opinion. It's virtually impossible not to but I'd prefer to ask rather than be bombarded with someone's agenda.
