I spent the last few days at Kit Carson Lodge on Silver Lake in the Sierra Madre Mountains of California just south of Lake TahoeWoods Lake is a few miles west. I've been there twice before and each time it was as cold as I can stand before being very uncomfortable. It's a beautiful little lake with a great campground. It's surrounded by a high rocky ridge with a couple of waterfalls spilling down into the frigid waters. A great place for kayak/canoe trips. I just had to take this photo. I'm a sucker for a small waterfall in a mountain stream.
