BRISTLECONE PINE AT SUNSET
I spent a week at the University of California White Mountain Research Center. It is located about 13,000 feet White Mountain in the central Sierra Nevada mountains near Bishop, CA. The largest Bristlecone Pine is located there along with the oldest one. Some claim the oldest to be more than 5000 years old. The Bristlecones are difficult to photograph. I like this shot at sunset.
