It's been 17 years since Santa Cruz experienced the earthquake that pretty much leveled downtown. The lot at the corner of Church Street and Pacific Avenue was a blight until recently. Now a multi-story building is being erected. It will change the general look of downtown.The photo at the top is what the building looks like as of Fall 2007.
The photo in the middle is what the building looked like in March 2008.
